Turn this seasons wins into next seasons strategies

The season’s over. Before you switch off completely, take ten minutes to check your social media data. It’s packed with clues about what worked and how to do even better next year.

Here’s your step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Open Insights

  • Go to Meta Business Suite on desktop or app
  • Click Insights
  • Set the date range for your season (for example, April to September)

Step 2: Find Your Top Posts

  • In the Content tab, scroll through your posts
    Sort them by Engagement
  • Write down your top five posts
  • Note the type of each post — photo, video, sponsor update, or something else

Step 3: Check Days and Times

  • Go to the Audience or When Your Fans Are Online section
  • See which days your audience was most active
  • Look at what times they were online
  • Write down the two best days and the two best times

Step 4: Track Your Audience Growth

  • Go to the Overview tab
  • Find the Followers or Audience Growth graph
  • Write down your starting and ending follower numbers
  • Calculate how many new followers you gained

Step 5: Write Three Lessons

  • Look at your top posts and ask what they had in common
  • Check your timing and ask when people engaged the most
  • Look at your growth and ask what moments brought in new followers
  • Write down three clear lessons you can use next season
Examples:
  • Action photos got the most engagement
  • Sunday morning posts had the widest reach
  • Finals week brought in 60 new followers

📌 Bonus Tips

  • Take screenshots of your top posts and save them in a folder called Season 2025 Best Posts
Export your Insights as a CSV file to keep a full record

📣 From the Studio

This week our team worked with the VFLW to capture and produce social media content from Grand Final day.

Cameras were on-site to film B-roll before, during, and after the game, along with interviews with the coach, captain, and the Lisa Hardeman Medallist.

The result: dynamic videos that showcase the emotion, energy, and highlights of the league’s biggest day.

And that’s game.
